The two graphs show us what men and women in the USA buy for each other on the Valentines Day and the percentages of each item.
The highest three gifts that are given by men and women are cards, chocolates and flowers. The similarity between men and women is that cards are in the top of both graphs. Jewelry is almost the same rate of purchase for either sex. Next, only 4% of men buy perfume whilst women’s rate is 10%. Going to smaller items, lingerie and personal care take less than tenth for both genders. Lastly, men buy other gifts for their beloved ones whereas 17% of women do so.
In conclusion, it is really surprising that 11% of women buy flowers for men. In addition, the most popular gift bought by men and women is cards.
